2.23 Overview to the System Message Editor
This window allows the editing of various system messages. There
are several pre-defined messages but these messages may be
modified to better reflect library policies. For example,
if a patron exceeds the allowable fines limit as determined by
the Circulation Parameters, then the next time the patron
attempts a loan or a hold, a message is issued to the user.
It is the contents of this message that a library may change.
For example, the standard message of "Patron owes overdue fines.
Borrowing privileges are suspended until the matter is cleared."
might be changed to specify the fine threshold.
