9.20 Overview to Late Warnings Processing
When the late warnings are processed, a list of titles that are
late in arrival is compiled. The current date is compared with
the sum of the last received date for the title plus the number
of late warning days for the title's frequency. If the
resulting date is less than today, the title is considered late
and a late warning will be generated. For example, a daily
journal whose last issue was received four days ago would be
considered "late" because the number of late warning days
allowed for daily titles is three.
